The Year of the Tiger and the OX

The Tiger and the Ox don't always get along but the Ox is extremely tenacious and can take on the Tiger as well as the year of the Tiger. Avoid the temptation to overspend or take too many risks. You may deal with an endless amount of petty annoyances with people or situations but with your perseverance you should be able to work it out.

The Year of the Tiger for the Rat

The is a year of mixed results which brings the possibility of drama into the Rat's life. You could experience a mix of emotions: gloom and delight. Expect lots of activity and travel. Use your natural industrious nature to move forward this creates benefits to accrue for the Rat. Don’t rest on past victories; opportunities are there but you need to look for them!

The Tiger enters 2010 on February 14

This will be some Valentine's gift. For the Rat, Tiger, Dragon, Horse, Monkey, and Dog this could be a great year but you will need to make plans and take action. Anything ignored can come back to haunt you.
Tigers have fierce energy and strength. They are keen observers; Tiger years bring dramatic change which seems unexpected but if you are keenly aware of what is going on in your life; than dramatic change is unlikely. Weigh things carefully.

Moving out of Ruts!

This can be a bit of a difficult time for all the Fixed Signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius). There are seven transiting planets in fixed signs right now. The Sun, Mercury, and Venus in Scorpio, Mars in Leo and Jupiter and Neptune in Aquarius this puts mega amounts of pressure on Taurus, Leo, Scorpion and Aquarius to make changes and figure out what they want. Neptune adds confusion and a desire to move beyond the mundane into a purposeful direction. If you feel your life is in a rut it would be important to start having a dialogue: with a close friend, mentor or counselor. Brainstorm. Discover what excites you: when are you most happiest, maybe a hobby is actually a life calling. Action will be the tricky part at this time. Virgo the Worker Bee

Virgo's are thinkers who enjoy analyzing, planning and then working hard to complete what they have started. They enjoy tangible results and rewards; kibitzing and lollygagging is not something Virgo's can tolerate for any length of time. They would rather do it themselves then rely on others for completing projects or tasks. Famous Virgo, Mother Teresa said "Do not wait for leaders; do it alone, person to person," which really expresses their commitment and drive to accomplish and to be independent in the process.

Virgo's are often attracted to work situations that are lacking in organization and follow through. They love solving a mystery and bringing order to chaos. Their forte is making wonderful changes. Virgo's are adaptable people who have internal discipline and realize that change starts from the inside and vibrates out. Leo Tolstoy is credited with this observation, "Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself." Author H.G. Wells also chimed in with this Virgo gem; "Adapt or perish, now as ever, is nature's inexorable imperative."
They can end up complaining about their work because they choose positions which make them indispensable with heavy work loads and high frustration levels. But they keep on working to maintain what that have implemented with the hopes that leading by example may convince others of its merit.
They have high ideals and hold themselves and others to those ideals; analyzing deeply the consequences of those actions. This is emphasized by H.G. Wells, "It is not reasonable that those who gamble with men's lives should not pay with their own." They have a strong sense of right and wrong which can make them seem critical but it is their keen powers of observation and introspection that compel Virgo. Leonard Cohen expands this idea, "Let judges secretly despair of justice: their verdicts will be more acute. Let generals secretly despair of triumph; killing will be defamed. Let priests secretly despair of faith: their compassion will be true."

Cancer the Sensitive Survivor

"No pessimist ever discovered the secret of the stars, or sailed to an uncharted land, or opened a new doorway for the human spirit," well known Cancer; Helen Keller.
Cancer Sun Signs have been pegged as being pessimistic because they are prone to mood swings. But with a deeper look and a little understanding we can see that Cancers are very sensitive to negativity and criticism. They need gentle coaxing to come out of their shell and trust you; this is because when Cancer's lend their heart to someone they give their undying love and loyalty. It can be a devastating blow if they are deceived. A Cancer sentiment shared by Helen Keller; "The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart."
Cancers need to follow their heart, without doing this it is impossible for them to make their dreams a reality. They are assertive go getters that are propelled by their dreams; without purpose or family to goad them on; they can feel like a ship cast adrift. "All brave men love; for he only is brave who has affections to fight for, whether in the daily battle of life, or in physical contests," said by Nathaniel Hawthorne.
Like the crab, Cancers are tenacious, they have incredible vision in business as well as within their relationships; P. T. Barnum summed up Cancers tenacity; "Whatever you do, do it with all your might. Work at it, early and late, in season and out of season, not leaving a stone unturned, and never deferring for a single hour that which can be done just as well now."
Depth of emotion and emotional experiences are part of being a Cancer Sun sign. Their experiences are engraved on their hearts, and they never forget any of the lessons life has taught them, good or bad. Nathaniel Hawthorne describes his own feelings on the subject; "What other dungeon is so dark as one's own heart! What jailer so inexorable as one's self!"
Through it all Cancer Sun Signs have many dualistic aspects to their natures and they are constantly seeking emotional balance. When a Cancer fulfills their aspirations and they create the life they want to live they do whatever is necessary to maintain it. John Quincy Adams said it best, "Courage and perseverance have a magical talisman, before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish into air."
